Delegate Elections:
Delegate elections are just around the corner. Each district in Central Park elects one delegate and there are eleven district. Delegates have two primary responsibilities – reviewing the MCA budget and appointing MCA Board Directors. Delegate nominations are due October 30, 2026. Status of Executive Director Recruitment:
Three committees, comprised of MCA staff, Directors and Community Board Members (Park Creek Metro District, Westerly Creek Metro District, and Central Park United Neighborhood) helped screen candidates. The Board is now conducting the final round of interviewing and will be making a decision in the coming days.
MCA Executive Director Recruitment Update
Applications for the MCA Executive Director position closed on September 7 and have since completed an initial screening process conducted by the recruitment firm engaged by the MCA Board.
Over the coming weeks, selected candidates will participate in interviews with committees representing MCA staff and community stakeholders. These committees will provide recommendations to the Board, which will then identify finalists for interviews with Board members before making a final selection.

New Electronic Voting Process Coming This Fall
The MCA is moving to electronic voting for this year’s annual election. Voting opens Tuesday, November 17, and residents will receive email and mailed instructions on how to participate.
This is our first year using an electronic system, through Simply Voting, and we’re excited to make voting easier and hopefully increase participation.
