Join us for a vibrant evening in our Cube Cinema Series as we present Summer of Soul—the electrifying, Oscar‑winning documentary that uncovers the story of the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. Bursting with unforgettable performances from legends like Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Sly & the Family Stone, and more, the film captures a pivotal moment in music and Black cultural history that went largely unseen for decades.
Hosted by Dr. Vincent Piturro, Film Studies Professor at MSU Denver and writer of The Indie Prof column in The Front Porch newspaper.
Guests who bring a nonperishable food item or personal care item to support MSU's student food bank, Rowdy's Corner, will receive their first popcorn and soft drink free.
Doors open at 6:30pm, movie starts at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 (plus applicable fees).
