Vincent Piturro, Ph.D., is a professor of film and media studies in the Department of English at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

He hosts an annual science fiction film series in conjunction with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Film Society. Piturro writes a film review column for The Front Porch, a neighborhood Denver paper with a circulation of about 30,000. In addition to teaching, he is also the general studies chair on the Faculty Senate Standing Committee at MSU Denver.

Earth's Reel Resilience is a captivating and thought-provoking film series being hosted at The Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd.) that takes viewers on an emotional journey through a collection of gripping narratives, exploring the urgent issues and profound consequences of climate change.
 
Through the powerful narratives of Chasing Ice, Wall-E, Nuoc 2030, and Don't Look Up, Earth's Reel Resilience provides a multifaceted exploration of climate change, underscoring the need for immediate action, promoting environmental consciousness, and inspiring audiences to be catalysts for positive change.
 
There will be a discussion on each film led by Vincent Piturro following the screenings.
